Without it SKSE and mods depending on it would just plainly fail to load :v I'm with you on that.
This is because there are files in the SKSE download that you don't need. Just saying that a very similar solution(as in requiring the user to create a pseudo mod archive for MO from SKSE's the script folder) also worked for MO2. If it is installed like this SKSE won’t work.
